Prayers for the Process

Let's Pray Together...

Morning Prayer

Father, thank You for the gift of this new day. As I step into hours I cannot yet see, open my eyes to Your presence in every moment. You have promised to instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, to counsel me with Your loving eye upon me, so guide my steps, guard my heart, and fill me with Your peace.

Today I clothe myself in the whole armor of God. I fasten the belt of truth around me, put on the breastplate of righteousness, and lace up the shoes of the gospel of peace. I take up the shield of faith to extinguish every fiery dart, the helmet of salvation to protect my mind, and the sword of the Spirit - Your living Word - to stand my ground. Strengthen me to remain firm against fear, doubt, and every distraction that tries to pull me away from You.

You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. So today I choose to trust You with what I cannot see, follow You with confidence, and lean on You in every battle I am not strong enough to fight on my own. Where I am weak, be my strength. Where I am uncertain, be my clarity. Where I am anxious, be my rest.

I commit this day into Your hands - in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Evening Prayer

Lord, as this day comes to a close, I come to You with both my gratitude and my burdens. Thank You for carrying me through this day with mercy, grace, and faithfulness. Thank You for the ways You covered me, kept me, and sustained me, even in the moments I never saw and did not fully realize.

You are faithful and just to forgive when I confess, so tonight I bring my shortcomings before You, in my thoughts, my words, my attitude, and my actions. Forgive me, wash me clean, and quiet anything in me that is not at peace with You.

Heal what is broken, Lord. Restore what is weary in my heart, my mind, and my body. You are the One who restores my soul, the One who invites the weary and burdened to come and find rest. So tonight, I lay it all down at Your feet, every weight, every worry, every disappointment, every fear. I will not carry into my sleep what You have asked me to surrender.

I proclaim Your protection over me and over all that concerns me. Because I dwell in the shelter of the Most High, I will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust. Cover me with Your feathers and let me rest safely beneath Your wings. I will not fear the terror of the night, for You are with me, and Your faithfulness is my shield and rampart.

Guard my home, my mind, my body, and my loved ones as we sleep. Let no fear, harm, or heaviness rest upon this house. Give Your angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. And let Your perfect peace settle over me now... the peace You promise to the one whose mind is stayed on You.

As I close my eyes, help me rest in Your love and release what You have not asked me to hold. Let my sleep be sweet, peaceful, and restoring. Remind me that I am safe in You, held by You, and covered through the night.

I place this night into Your hands, in Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

Keep Praying

Prayer is the lifeline that connects us to God. He wants the good, the bad, and the ugly... so take your joys, your sorrows, your questions, your frustration, and your praise to the Father. Never cease to pray. Keep talking to Him. Keep listening. Keep trusting that He hears every word.
