Prayers for the Process
Faith-filled prayers for the hard, holy, healing, and in-between moments.
Morning Prayer
Father, thank You for this new day. As I step into the unknown, help me to perceive Your presence in every moment. Your Word says that You will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, so guide my steps, guard my heart, and fill me with Your peace (Psalm 32:8).
Today I put on the whole armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, and the shoes of peace. I take up the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your Word (Ephesians 6:10–17). Strengthen me to stand firm against fear, doubt, and every distraction that tries to pull me away from You.
Your Word says that You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). So today, help me trust You with what I cannot see, follow You with confidence, and lean on You in every battle I am not strong enough to fight on my own.
In Jesus’ Mighty name, Amen.
Prayer for Transition
Father, this season feels tender, unfamiliar, and hard. If I am honest, change stretches me in ways I do not always know how to handle. The unknown can make me anxious, emotional, and tired, but I do not want to walk through this without You.
Your Word says to trust in You with all my heart and not lean on my own understanding (Proverbs 3:5–6). So even here, help me trust You when I cannot see what is ahead. Quiet the fear, steady my heart, and renew my mind (Romans 12:2).
Help me let go of what was, even when it hurts, and give me grace for what is unfolding. Your Word says that You are doing a new thing and making a way in the wilderness (Isaiah 43:19). Remind me that even in this in-between place, You are still with me, still leading me, and still being faithful.
When I feel weak, hold me close. When fear tries to rise, remind me that You have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
In Jesus’ Mighty name, Amen.
Evening Prayer
Lord, as this day comes to a close, I bring You both my gratitude and my burdens. Thank You for carrying me through this day with mercy, grace, and faithfulness. Thank You for the ways You covered me, kept me, and sustained me, even in the moments I did not fully realize it.
Your Word says that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). So tonight, I ask You to forgive me where I have fallen short, in my thoughts, my words, my attitude, or my actions. Wash me clean and quiet anything in me that is not at peace with You.
Heal what is broken, Lord. Restore what is weary in my heart, my mind, and my body. Your Word says that You restore my soul (Psalm 23:3), and that You give rest to the weary and strength to those who are burdened (Matthew 11:28). So tonight, I lay down every weight, every worry, every disappointment, and every fear at Your feet.
I proclaim Your protection over me and over all that concerns me. Your Word says that whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). I declare that You are my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust (Psalm 91:2). Cover me tonight with Your feathers, and let me rest safely under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). I will not fear the terror of the night, for You are with me, and Your faithfulness is my shield and my protection (Psalm 91:5).
Guard my home, my mind, my body, and my loved ones as we sleep. Let no fear, harm, or heaviness rest upon me. Give Your angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways (Psalm 91:11). Let Your peace settle over me now. Your Word says that You give peace to the one whose mind is stayed on You (Isaiah 26:3).
As I close my eyes tonight, help me to rest in Your love and not carry what You have not asked me to hold. Let sleep be sweet, peaceful, and restoring (Proverbs 3:24). Remind me that I am safe in You, held by You, and covered through the night.
In Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
Keep Praying
Prayer is the lifeline that connects us to God. He wants the good, the bad, and the ugly... so take your joys, your sorrows, your questions, your frustration, and your praise to the Father. Never cease to pray. Keep talking to Him. Keep listening. Keep trusting that He hears every word.
"Pray without ceasing," 1 Thessalonians 5:17
A Prayer for the One Walking Through Change
Father, thank You that even when life changes, You do not. Thank You for being steady, faithful, and present in every moment of this process. Your Word says that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8, NLT). When life feels uncertain, You remain sure. When I feel weak, You remain strong.
Lord, help me trust You here, in the unknown, in the waiting, in the stretching, and in the parts of this season I do not fully understand. Your Word says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5, NLT). Quiet the fear in me and replace it with Your peace. As it is written, “You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you” (Isaiah 26:3, NLT).
Thank You for going ahead of me and making a way before I even see it. Thank You for securing what is behind me in this process, covering what I have left, protecting what I cannot carry, and reminding me that I am fully held by You. Your Word promises, “The Lord himself will go before you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you” (Deuteronomy 31:8, NLT). Thank You for surrounding me completely. “You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head” (Psalm 139:5, NLT).
Help me perceive You in this season. Open my eyes to see Your goodness in real time. Let me not become so overwhelmed by change that I miss Your presence in it. Anchor me in Your truth when my emotions feel unsteady.
Give me grace for each day, strength for each moment, and peace that does not depend on having all the answers. Teach me to trust that the same God who brought me here will also carry me through. Your Word reminds me, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NLT). So I lay every worry before You, knowing that You care for me (1 Peter 5:7, NLT).
Thank You for holding me together when I feel undone. Thank You for covering every detail. Thank You for never letting go of me. I rest in the truth that the faithful love of the Lord never ends and His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22–23, NLT). Great is Your faithfulness.
In Jesus Mighty name, Amen.
